🏞️ Public Fundraisers

  • Updated

Overview

Public fundraisers for the causes you care about the most! These fundraisers are open to donations from friends, family members, and more – a Deed account is not required. Some people call them "non-authenticated fundraisers."

  • A public Fundraiser can be created when an Admin or Organizer navigates to the Manage Deeds tab > Add Deeds > Fundraiser > selects "Public" from the Deed Visibility section.

  • Non-authenticated users are individuals that are not logged in with a Deed account. Once they login they are considered authenticated users.
  • Public Fundraisers will be listed on the public facing Deed App (unless indicated Link Only).

Admins and Organizers

  • Admins and Organizers can create, edit, and delete public Fundraisers.

Employees

  • Employees cannot create, edit, or delete public Fundraisers.
  • Employees donating without logging in: if they enter their corporate email during checkout, they will be redirected to the Single Sign-on page to authenticate and proceed with their donation.
  • Donations made by non-auth users will display as type "Others" (viewing as an employee) on the Fundraisers.

Non-authenticated Users

  • Non-authenticated users can see the Fundraiser page, and the checkout page. Attempting to navigate to other pages in Deed will prompt them to login or register.
  • Donations made by non-auth users will display as type "Donors" (viewing as non-auth users) on the Fundraisers.
  • Donations made by non-auth users will display in Fundraiser feed according to their indicated visibility (i.e. Share my name and amount donated, anonymous, etc...)
  • Donations made by non-auth users will be hidden in Campaign feed (if public Fundraiser is linked).
