🟧 Curated Volunteering with Goodera

  • Updated

As an admin, you and your team are encouraged to create custom opportunities in partnership with your favorite nonprofit partners. Deed also partners with Goodera, the world’s largest virtual volunteering platform, to curate high-quality volunteer events for your employees. Your employees will be able to donate their time and skills to charities in 90+ countries all around the world. Goodera has also added a suite of hybrid and in-person volunteering opportunities. As admins, through this partnership, you can manage all your social impact initiatives from a single platform.

Event Format

Each Goodera event is 30 or 60 minutes in length. Virtual events are held on Zoom, with the Zoom link will be provided to your employees upon registration on Deed’s platform. In-person engagements can occur in a venue of your choice.

Some events may require some preparation on the volunteers’ end, which will be provided in the description of the event on Deed. Otherwise, all volunteers have to do is show up! All communications will be sent to your employees through the Deed Platform’s messaging feature.

The event will be led by an “emcee,” who will guide volunteers through an agenda that looks similar to this one:

  • Opening and Context Setting [5 mins]
  • Ice-Breaker [5 mins]
  • Orientation about the Nonprofit/Cause [5 mins]
  • Instructions about the Volunteer Activity [5 mins]
  • Volunteer Activity [35 mins]
  • Closing remarks and Team Goodbye [5 mins]

At the end of the event, the Goodera representative and your Deed Partner Success Manager will briefly discuss future virtual volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please direct them to your Partner Success Manager, who will interface with Goodera.
