🎹 Deeds 101

  • Updated

What are deeds?

Deeds are your best tool for empowering employees to give back to the communities that they care about. There are four main types of deeds available on the platform: Volunteer Events, Events, Fundraisers, Projects and Actions.

Employees can browse Deeds by location and cause area – and then donate or sign up to participate!

Who creates deeds?

Admins and Organizers can both create deeds! Admins can publish the deed directly, while Organizers must submit deeds for Admin approval.

☝️Organizers and Location Organizers will need to submit deeds for review from Admin. Admins will receive an email notification and can also find them under Manage Deeds > Pending Review. To publish, edit the deed, scroll to the bottom, and change the Publishing Status to 'Published.'

Types of Deeds

There are five types of deeds available on the platform:

  1. Volunteer Events - a volunteer opportunity with a specific date and time. Must be associated with a nonprofit
  2. Events - social, professional, or interest-based activities for your company
  3. Fundraisers - tool to collect donations for a specific initiative, event or campaign.
  4. Projects - ongoing volunteer opportunities (long-term) where you can give your skills, goods or pro-bono services
  5. Actions - small acts of kindness that fit easily into an employee's day to day life
