External Donation Requests

Employees can submit external donation requests for donations that they made outside of the Deed platform. You can find info for employees here.

  • When employees submit their Match Request, they’ll get an email notification that it was received and is under review. Once an Admin approves or declines the request, they’ll get an email with the status change. If it’s approved it will appear on the employee’s profile with an ‘external’ tag.
  • When employees submit their Match Request, Admins will receive an email alerting them of the request. You can navigate from the link in the email, or directly from your Admin Platform. You find requests in Donations > External Donation Requests. You’ll have notification alerts if there are pending requests!

When you click into External Donation Requests you’ll see the employee who submitted the request, the nonprofit, the date they donated, the date they submitted the request, the donation amount, the eligible match, additional details, and a place to approve/deny the match.

Under ‘Details’ you can also view their uploaded receipt.

If you approve the request, the donation and the associated match will display on Donations as well as on the employee’s profile. The donation will show up on the ‘Donated on’ date that the employee submitted.

If you deny the request, the donation will still live on the employee’s profile – just with no match.

  • If there is no available match, the only option will be to ‘deny,’ but the donation will still live on the employee’s profile.
