Dashboards

Deed’s dashboards have undergone another exciting upgrade, with more data visualizations and features than ever!

Accessing the Dashboards

While in the Organizer Portal, in the left menu, select “Dashboards.” Then, click the arrow on the right to see the drop-down options.

Dashboard Features

  1. Extensive data visualizations to enable high-level and daily monitoring.
  2. Extensive filter options to enable deep dives based on relevant users, nonprofits, impact, and more. Here are some helpful tips:
    1. Filters appear automatically at the top of each dashboard
    2. Some filters are set by default, including the date range, which is set to the current year. All filters can be changed by the user.
    3. If a filter is blank, then all options it is meant to sort currently appear in the dashboard.
    4. To change a filter, the user can type its name or select the relevant option from the filter drop-down. Filters will automatically apply.
    5. Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously.
  3. New functionality:

a. Download dashboard or report as a PDF, PNG, or Excel (as relevant).

b. Download individual visualizations as an image (PNG or PDF) or as a spreadsheet (.csv or Excel).

c. Download the comprehensive data behind an an individual chart as a spreadsheet (.csv or Excel).

NOTES:

  • For charts showing activity over time (e.g., donations, volunteer hours, and logins over time), the user can click on a year in the legend to highlight only that year.
  • Tips specifically for the Engagement Dashboard
    • It is best practice to not include dates in the date range filter that are before your company’s launch date with Deed.
    • Login data collection commenced July 2021. For companies who launched with Deed before July 2021, best practice is to not include dates in the date range filter that are before July 2021.

FAQs

  • Will location restrictions be applied?

Yes, if your company has location restrictions for different admins, then these restrictions will be applied. For example, an admin may see only the data for employees from the countries that admin has access to.

  • How are Deed credits counted towards donations?

Deed credits are currently included as employee donations. Deed credits will also appear as an option in the Payment Methods chart on the Donations dashboard.

  • Why do far past or future years appear in the Volunteer Hours Over Time Chart on the Volunteering dashboard?

If there is an unexpected year showing up in this chart, it is because an employee entered an incorrect year. (For example, if an employee logs hours and lists the year as “22” instead of “2022.”)

In these cases, please inform your Partner Success Manager so that Deed can work with you to determine the correct date and update the entry as needed. Deed will also automatically warn employees if the date for which they are entering their logged hours seems unlikely (e.g., 1492).

  • How can I customize my dashboard (filter, charts, new dashboard)?

Please read our article on how to use Deed's "Explore" functionality to customize your dashboards and reports! For further support, or for Deed's data team to customize your dashboards and/or reports for you, please contact your Partner Success Manager.
