Users

In the Users tab, invite additional Admins, Organizers, and Ambassadors to utilize Deed's Admin Platform.

  • How to invite additional Admins, Organizers, and Ambassadors to Deed’s Admin Platform

Go to Settings > Select Create New User > Enter user’s information (First and last name, employee email) > Select the locations the user is allow to manage > Select Admin or Organizer > Submit. Once you press Submit, the user will receive an email inviting them to sign up to Deed’s Admin Platform. You should also send the user this welcoming email to let them know they’ve been given Admin/Organizer/Ambassador access: Welcome template here.

Admin Permissions vs Organizer Permissions

  • An Admin has all-encompassing permissions on the platform. Admins can set up matching rules and publish deeds submitted by Organizers. They also have access to the Settings tab.
  • Organizers can not set up matching rules, and can not publish deeds. They instead will submit deeds for review for an Admin to approve.
    • You can restrict Organizers by location if applicable, or allow them to submit deeds anywhere.
      • Setting location will only impact where they are able to create deeds with locations. If they select remote, can create anywhere
    • Local Leads, Ambassadors, or ERG leadership are great examples of Organizers.
    • Organizers don’t see the Settings tab or the Reports tab
  • Admins are the only ones that can approve external donation match requests. Admins and Organizers can both approve external volunteer time requests.
