Donation Journey - PayPal Giving Fund:Deed

 

PayPal Giving Fund is the receiving charity of record for any donation made through its programs. PayPal Giving Fund then attempts to make a grant to the charity you recommend when you make your donation. Pending distribution of grants, PayPal Giving Fund holds all donations in a secure bank account dedicated to donations.

Payout Timelines

Enrolled

Enrolled charities are paid monthly via PayPal. PayPal Giving Fund distributes donations to enrolled charities each month, by depositing a single grant payment into the charity’s PayPal account. Payments are made 15-45 days after the date of donation.

Once PPGF Accounting team receives payout files from Deed via email on the 11th- 14th of each month, the process below takes place for the enrolled payouts:

Reassignment Key Points

  • Charities identified for reassignment must be inactivated from CauseAdmin and Deed platform
  • Review Monthly processes should clear out charities where a more recent check has been cashed or charity has enrolled

Status of Donation

Click the Track your donation link in your donation receipt email to see whether your donation has been granted to the charity you intended to benefit. You can also enter the Transaction ID from your donation receipt into our donation tracker.
