  • Can employees set up recurring donations?

    Yes, employees can set up recurring donations to nonprofits that are enrolled with our payment processing partner PayPal Giving Fund. For more info, check out the Employee Knowledge Hub here.

  • Can I cover fees for my employees?

    Yes, you can turn on Deed's cover fees feature. This is Platform wide and affects any donation from one of your employees. No employee will be shown or charged any donation processing fees (Organization Support fee or Payment Processing fee). Fees are covered regardless of processing partner (PayPal, Network for Good, Stripe, GlobalGiving)

  • What kind of processing fee does Deed currently charge for employee donations and for corporate donations?

    • Get in touch with your Partner Success Manager if you have questions about the Organization Support fee for employee donations and corporate donations!
      • This fee covers nonprofit verification, automated receipting, donor tracking, reporting, and more
      • For employee donations, there is a variable merchant fee for the payment processor (ie: PayPal, Stripe). The merchant fee to the payment processor varies by region (eg. US = 2.2% + $0.30).
      • Our payment processing partners GlobalGiving and Network for Good charge a flat of 5%
  • Are there other costs we need to be aware of when using Deed for corporate donations?

    • Get in touch with your Partner Success Manager if you have questions about the Organization Support fee for corporate donations!
    • When donating to GlobalGiving organizations, GlobalGiving charges 5% for both employee and corporate donations. Deed does not add any additional fee to this because we have committed to a 5% maximum for our partners.
  • Can I screen out certain types of nonprofits?

    • Yes, we can screen political, religious, higher ed, etc. from the platform – meaning, employees will not be able to search for them.
      • At this time, we cannot only block cause areas for matching (must be fully blocked from platform).
    • We can screen out specific nonprofits for matching.
