NCES Schools FAQs

  • What is PayPal and how is PayPal connected to Deed?

PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF) helps Deed empower people to support their favorite nonprofits online. PPGF receives donations through Deed (as well as PayPal, eBay, and other platforms), then makes grants to donors' recommended nonprofits. Donations made through Deed will be disbursed to your organization’s bank account through PayPal.

  • What should I do if my school cannot create a PayPal account?

Please reach out the Nonprofit Success Team by emailing nonprofits@joindeed.com. The nonprofits team will ask to connect to your local PTO organization and will support them as they create a Deed profile.

  • There is a “Help Center” button when I am registering on the Deed platform. What Help Center am I being connected to?

If your verification through PayPal is unsuccessful, the link will connect to the PayPal support team in your country. If you have questions about creating or managing your PayPal account, please reach out to PayPal’s support team through chat or by phone.

  • What information will my organization need to provide to PayPal?

PayPal will request information about your organization and the person that is creating the account. Paypal will ask for information such as monthly sales, EIN number (if U.S based), bank statements, proof of charitable status and proof of your organization’s bank account. Additionally, PayPal will request information such as SSN, birthday and home address for the individual creating the account. All of this information is used to ensure that all donations are being processed and managed correctly.

  • How do I know that my profile with PayPal is complete?

Your organization will receive an email from PayPal sharing that your charity status has been confirmed. Once you receive this email, please check that you have completed the enrollment form to finalize your PPGF registration.

  • What is NFG and how is NFG connected to Deed?

Network for Good (NFG), a 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit partner that operates a donor advised fund to distribute donations to nonprofits. Deed works with Network for Good to grant donations.

  • Who should I reach out to if I am having trouble enrolling with NFG?

Please reach out the Nonprofit Success Team by emailing nonprofits@joindeed.com.

  • Why am I being asked to provide more information to Deed (Mission Statement, NTEE code)?

We find that Deed profile with more information are more likely to receive support from our corporate partners and their employees.
