📢 Public Campaigns

  • Updated

A "Public Campaign" can published so that users outside of your company can view and participate in your campaign. This is a great tool to share your impact initiatives with customers, family and friends.

To create a campaign that is visible outside of your company, select "Public" in under "General Settings" in the Campaign creation flow (step 8).

Pro tip: Make sure that all the deeds you create (fundraisers, volunteer events, projects, events) are also set as "public" so that users outside of your company can view the opportunities you've tagged to the campaign.

Making a public donation

Donors external to your company’s Deed environment will be prompted to either login into their Deed account or continue to the donation flow as a guest.

Deed is free to use for any individual. They will have a profile and access to our public Deed environment, which will feature public giving and volunteer opportunities from nonprofits and companies. Similar to employees, Deed users have a profile that can keep track of their donations, volunteer hours and more.

Support

Public Deed users have access to the same chat support and help documents that your employees can utilize.

Chat support is live on the platform 9 am-6pm EST, Monday through Friday. If a Deed user contacts Support outside of these hours, they will receive a follow up via email.

The support documents available to the public can be translated into the languages below:

Privacy

Public Deed users are subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Access to these pages can be found on the Deed login page.

When an employee creates an account on Deed or makes a donation as a guest, they are not automatically added to an email distribution list.

Matching Donations to Public Campaign

The ability for your company to auto-match public donations is not currently available (but is coming soon). In the meantime, if you want to match donations manually, we suggest the following:

  1. Include language in the campaign description that public donations will be matched up to X dollars.
  2. At the end of the campaign, make a Corporate Donation to the nonprofit(s) that were supported during the campaign.
  3. Let your Partner Success Manager know when these corporate donations have been made so they can associate those donations with the campaign and highlight the campaign’s total impact.
