Expected hours - Expected hours include the hours for all deeds that employees signed up for on the Deed platform (we call these committed hours, see below), as well as all hours that employees logged for non-deed/off-platform volunteer opportunities (we call these logged hours, see below). With this approach, you will get a more accurate view of your employee volunteering efforts!
Logged hours - Logged hours are only captured when an employees logs onto the Deed platform and manually logs their hours. Logged hours can include hours from volunteer opportunities available on the Deed platform (deeds) or from off-platform volunteering activities that employees have done not related to a deed (e.g. fed stray animals).
Committed hours - This metric represents the total number of hours that employees “committed” to volunteer through deeds they signed up for on the Deed platform. Committed hours is calculated as (# of employees who signed up for a deed) x (the duration of the deed). Ex: 10 people sign up for a 2 hour event, the total committed hours displayed will be 20 hours.
For volunteer projects, the duration of the deed is calculated as (duration of the project) x (minimum estimated hours per day/week) for each role
“Off-platform” & “Imported Hours” are not included in the “Committed Hours” total, as these hours were not signed up for on the Deed platform
Off-platform hours - These are hours that employees log for volunteer activities that were not part of a deed (for example, volunteering at your local animal shelter or food pantry) and must be logged manually by employees through their Deed profile. Once these hours are submitted (and approved) on the Deed platform, they will count toward the “Logged Hours” total.
Imported hours - Volunteer hours that were tracked on a previous platform and that have been imported to Deed. These hours are shown seamlessly alongside hours logged or committed through Deed, as long as “Imported” is selected in the dashboard filter.. Imported hours are only relevant for partners who transitioned to Deed part-way through the year and want to see their total volunteer impact.
