To create a new deed, go to Manage Deeds > Add Deeds > New Deed.
Create a deed that best suits your opportunities needs. If you are unsure what kind of deed to create, review the table in the “What are deeds?” section.
Tips for creating deeds
- Location
- If the Volunteer Event or Event is in person, the location must be a full mailing address.
- If your Volunteer Event or Event is virtual, you can location restrict the opportunity to only be visible in certain locations.
- In the example below, only employees in France will be able to access the virtual event.
- Date, start and end time
- If the Volunteer Event or Event is in person, the time zone will default to that of the location of your volunteer opportunity.
- If the Volunteer Event or Event is virtual, the time zone will default to the timezone that the Ambassador is located in.
- In the example below, the Ambassador creating an event is located in Colorado.
- Campaigns, Pillars & ERGs
- Tag your deed to a Campaign, Featured Caused or ERG by selecting its name below.
- When tagged, the deed will present on a Campaign page, or the landing page of a Featured Cause or ERG
- Nonprofit information
- If you’re creating a volunteer opportunity with a US nonprofit, try searching for the nonprofit using their EIN number.
- Additional Event Settings (Optional)
- “Featured Deed” means that your deed will be featured on the homepage.
- “Link only” means that only individuals with access to the link of the deed can view the deed and sign up.
- Deed Visibility
- “Company Only” means only employees at your company can see and sign up for the the deed created.
- “Public” means anyone with access to the deed platform can see and sign up for the deed created.
