Actions
Actions are small acts of kindness that your employees can easily fit into their busy day-to-day lives. It’s the acts of giving that we do on a daily basis like using inclusive language in the workplace or unplugging electronics before leaving the house. Too often, these efforts go unrecognized; but now your company can show it’s support with custom-created actions linked to a nonprofit donation.
How do Actions make an impact?
For complex, global organizations trying to make diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) a reality, we think that thousands of employees making these kinds of easily achievable changes throughout the day will have a real compounding effect.
Actions are tied to employee and corporate donations. That means that as your company’s Deed admin, this single feature gives you two new ways to help your employees make an impact—by performing Actions and financially supporting nonprofits—and two new ways to measure your programs.

Examples of Actions: Buy no new clothes, bike to work, support inclusive legislation, support pro-LGBTQIA+ businesses.
How do users take part in an Action?
- Actions may be tagged within a Campaign or they can easily found within the Actions tab within the Deed top navigations bar.
- A user can select an Action to learn more about the “why” behind the importance of the activity. They also have the ability to see a list of their colleagues who may have joined (or completed) this Action.
- If a user would like to take part in an Action, they will click “Join Action”.
- Once the Action has been completed, the user will select “Mark As Completed”.

How do Admins create new Actions?
- Admins can created Actions by going to the Manage Deed tab > Select Add Deeds > Select Add New Action
- Once you go to Add a New Action, you’ll be prompted to fill out the mandatory actions fields such as the Basic Information and Reward per each Action.
- After you publish the Action, this will live under the “Actions” tab on the employee site and in the relevant campaign.
Note - Actions can currently only be set up to support PPGF & PPD nonprofit organizations.
How do Admins manage Actions?
- On the Manage Deeds tab, you can view your total actions and filter between Active or Inactive actions. Inactive means that it is not currently published.
- Joined / Completed:
- Joined means that x users have joined the Action but not completed it yet.
- Completed means that x users have completed the Action.
How can we measure the impact of our company’s Actions?
- For any Action, it is possible to add an associated impact value.
- This can be used to provide a CO2e reduction value for any action, for example during your Earth Month campaign.
- We will be adding other types of impact in the future- please reach out if there is any specific impact you’d like to see captured!
Is there an Actions Dashboard to track total actions committed and completed?
- Within Dashboards, you’ll be able to track all things actions and total funds raised in the Actions Dashboard.
